Hello everyone! I've posted a few times in the past, but thanks to my indecisive brain I'm back with more questions because I can't make up my mind ^_^;;
I'm admitted but not yet enrolled at TESC. I already have a general studies A.A. from my local community college so I have around 66cr to my name. Originally I was thinking I would go with a B.A in International Studies, but have no idea what I would do with it without tacking on something else.
Since TESC doesn't do minors, here I am looking for some input on a probably crazy idea. Most likely I will be wrong with a lot of things, please feel free to correct me!
Lately I've been thinking maybe I could do 3 degrees: ASBA, BSBA in International Business, BA International Studies
First, the ASBA. I already have an A.A and about 18cr away from satisfying the requirements.
Secondly, maybe complete the B.A International Studies next. It has more free electives I could possibly use to take classes for the BSBA (can I do this?)
Lastly, the BSBA International Business. Assuming I can take a good bit of the needed classes already while doing the other degrees, I should hopefully only have around the 24 additional credits needed to complete the 2nd Bachelor's Degree requirements.
Is doing this possible or even worth it?
Thanks everyone!!
Let's see how far I can go~

I think it depends on what you want to do in order to decide whether or not it is worth it. When it comes to having two bachelors degrees I would question whether or not it made more sense to go to graduate school. Remember you have to do so many additional credits and most master degrees are about 36 credits, so is it worth your time for another bachelors or is it worth your time to invest into a masters? Lets not forget there are post bachelor certificate programs that range between 9 and 18 credits give or take a few. Myself I would suggest graduate school. What do you want to do career wise?

Thanks for the reply!
Sadly I'm not 100% sure as to what I want to do. This has been a huge problem for me. I love languages and cultures (specifically Asian) and would love to do something in the future with this, which is my I wanted to go with the international studies. However, that degree alone I fear is pointless without something else backing it up like the BSBA.
I was hoping I could take most of the 2nd Bachelor's degree credits within the other two degrees and only have to finish the last 24-27cr (the required credits needed to take after finishing the first Bachelor's). Still not sure if that is possible though.
(Just some background work info: I've worked with both exotic and domestic animals, in hospitality, and am currently working in a blood bank.)

There are tons of wonderful things you can study and learn (I'm a natural learner, I'm always learning something new!) but that doesn't mean you need to acquire a degree just to study it. Degrees are kind of a big deal. Inasmuch as "we" can tell you "how" to rock out multiple degrees, when you put that forward on your resume later, it will look confusing. Most people don't have 4 degrees, especially earned in a year or two. Honestly, it makes it look a little shady (which is why I never list my TESC AA on my resume, too close to earning my BA- it raises questions that require big, long answers to people who don't know about testing out, etc.)
In my opinion, it will save you a tremendous amount of effort-time-and money- if you enrolled in a few classes that look interesting, and take some time to feel your way. I'd suggest classes in person, so you make connections in these fields and have the opportunity to join clubs or volunteer projects. Almost every college has an International Studies club- these are the kinds of places you can discover your love (or not) of these fields.
It's also my opinion, that if you're going to test out, at this phase, limit yourself to general education. When people test out of a degree, if they're adults already in their career, they are being smart. Skipping all the junk. BUT if you're just starting a career, those courses in your major are a big part of developing who you are- networking- earning internships- meeting experts in your field. It's valuable, and I don't think you should skip that part without considerable planning. In other words, knowing how you're going to do all that without that face to face experience. *I did this too, for my graduate degree, I had to build my own internship to make headway into this new aspect of my field. But, it was worth it!

A second associates degree at TESC will require 12 new credits in the area of study. This means that the credits had to have been earned after the first degree was conferred. A second bachelors will require 24 new credits in the area of study. It would be easier to transition from the ASBA to the BSBA. However, if you're sure you're going to earn the BSBA, then the ASBA really has no purpose.
Which degree is better depends on what you want to do. There are careers where a degree in international relations or political science is desirable. These usually don't need a business degree to back them up. In international business, the international business degree might be more helpful. The other skills they will be looking for are the ability to speak the language needed and some immersion in the culture; a TESC degree in international studies won't help you with these.
