Calculus I & II TESC
#11
My son had Calculus in high school, but welcomes the review in Calc I. He is taking it at TESC -- he likes the structure of their courses.

The response I got over the phone was that you need 6 credits for calculus regardless of the combination. It could be 4 credits for calc 1 and 2 credits for calc 2 or it could be 3/3 or 2/4.

I'm not surprised that you got that response. This is why you need to have a better understanding of the system than the TESC phone personnel. Some TESC employees are not used to dealing with two credit courses awarded through ACE, so they just make assumptions which end up costing you money. My one son fulfilled the Calc I & II requirement with 2 two credit courses. similarly my other son fulfilled the Systems Analysis & Design requirement for his BSBA CIS with just the PF Systems Analysis course which was also 2 credits. We (those who have gone before you) post this info to help others so you can learn from our mistakes.

When I first posted about the USDA Grad School Calc option, Straighterline Calc was not available or ACE approved. Now that they are, the SL route makes sense as a first option, with Grad School as option 2.
