Hi all,
So I took the plunge and spent the $50 to apply at COSC for the Liberal Studies. I was at TESU but found the $2800 fee to be too much! I spoke with the admissions counselor today and they told me that I would need to pick two complementing areas of studies to complete the Liberal Studies Degree. The only upper level credits I have are in Spanish and amount to 6 upper level credits. This throws a wrench in my plans because I was under the impression that I could take any Upper Level courses at Study.com and call it a day. With COSC it is more concentrated. What would you recommend in this case? Spanish/English or some kind of Humanities? And the issue of finding complementing Upper Level courses that could fit the AOS...
Thank you all,
Happy Holidays!

Okay thank you. I will start compiling a list ASAP for UL that I can get from a variety of places for each area.

Here are the details on the liberal studies degree:
https://www.charteroak.edu/catalog/curre...tudies.php
"The number of credits and distribution by level are the same as those for the Individualized Studies concentration: a minimum of 36 credits with a minimum of 18 at the upper level. The 18 upper level credits must represent a logical distribution from the various disciplines in the concentration."
You can even have three areas of study according to the examples listed.
Look here under "View Our Full Tranfer Guide" to see which courses from study.com are upper level at COSC.
https://study.com/college/school/charter...llege.html
You need 30 total upper level credits (equal to 10 classes), 18 in your areas of study (3 credits will be included in the capstone). So the other 12 upper level credits can be in anything.
I don't know what the future holds, but I know Who holds the future.
