I have been checking the scores everyone has been posting....re: US history 1, is it difficult? I have been studying IC flashcards, a sample test and another site on US history. What is the passing grade? I see other tests, like Literature (6 credits) with better scores than this History? Scary.

The passing score for US History I is 50, unless your college requires a higher score for some reason. I didn't find US History terribly difficult, as I had done American History in highschool (recently). I used IC and the REA book plus REA, and scored a 69.
Analyzing and Interpreting Literature isn't very difficult if you like to read. It's one of the easiest 6 credits out there.

This is the easiest test I've taken. I love history and reading. Instant cert is very helpful. I passed with a 65 (which is the highest score I've ever gotten and I've taken seven CLEP tests now) My youngher sister took this one too and got a 61. I used spark charts, REA and a Narrative of U.S history. Analyzing and interpreting literature is the HARDEST test I have taken. It was the first test I took and I felt dumb when everyone said it was easy. Others have had difficultly with it too. People are just different. Practice tests should help you know how difficult the test will be for you. (Peterson's practice tests are always a lot harder.) Take an REA, they're helpful.
Hope this helps,
Elizabeth

Very true, Elizabeth. I enjoyed A&I Lit a lot - even while I was taking the real test - but when she took it, my mom said it was very hard and stressful. She got the same score as me, though, so I'm not sure how much there was to that.
Math seems to be another subject that people either like or dislike.
