Welcome to the forum! InstantCert is designed to teach facts and concepts (no personalized tutoring Smile), but I would recommend starting a new thread (under "General Education and Testing Discussion" just click the "Post New Thread" button - it's blue near the top on the left) to see if anyone here has suggestions on how to practice or where to get some extra help for the essays. Also, the Specific Exam Feedback section is absolutely invaluable and probably has some ideas for preparing for the essay portion - college comp is here. InstantCert does have a set of flashcards that would help with the composition CLEP if that would be helpful to you as well. God bless!

I remember the psych exam heing very wordy, with a greater-than-usual amount of application of theory. If that was your experience, then you might have have gone in the wrong direction with your preparation. I studied using a psych 101 text from the library and it only took me two days and I ended up with a very, very high score. Yeah, I know, I sound like I'm bragging but I promise I'm not- I don't think you are any less capable than I am. I'm just trying to emphasize that you may need some time to figure out what it takes to conquer an exam. By the time you reach the end of your studies, you will have turned it into an art form.
