CLEP Info Systems count as Science TESU?
#1
Can anyone confirm whether or not CLEP Information Systems counts as Understanding the Physical and Natural World requirement at TESU? I see it listed here, but on TESU's site here it shows as only counting for Business Administration. HOWEVER on that same page it shows that it comes in as COS-101, which this page shows as counting. Can anyone confirm one way or another?

For me, that CLEP came in as CIS-102 and was slotted in my professional business core requirements (as a business major). However, I also took Intro to Computing which came in as CIS-107 and is slotted in my physical science area.

Either way, most non-applied CIS and COS courses can be used a physical science course if you don't need it elsewhere in your degree plan.
Working on: Debating whether I want to pursue a doctoral program or maybe another master's degree in 2022-23

What exactly is meant by "non-applied"?

Non-applied sciences refer to "pure" or theory-based sciences, as opposed to applied sciences, which would be the specific application of science to accomplish a goal. For computer science, applied CS would include courses that focus less on theory and more on specific ways to apply computer science (like a course on using photoshop for example).

At TESU, most applied CS courses have a CAP-### or CMP-### designation, but there are some exceptions.
