I didn't apply to a history program, but I did look into applying. However, I was accepted into a security studies program, which is a sub-field of international relations. It's at a Texas Tech system school, hence, a public university. I know it's not the same but close enough. Both are social sciences. I had enough graded credits for admission. I think there are some Big Three graduates here who are attending Western New Mexico University's MAIS program, which has a history concentration.

Is AMU B&M? I know a few grads went into their various History programs. WNMU MAIS, like sanantone said and CSUDH HUX for sure, but neither of those are straight history.
Are you just curious and comparing notes, or are you anticipating a problem getting in? There was a thread somewhere on degreeinfo about an MA History, and I know people were suggesting a lot of B&M schools.

AMU's History Department is their best, and it's very good. For graduate degrees, the reputation of the individual department can be more important than that of the school (I am not sure if that will apply in this case, though).
