Book costs TESC
#1
Can anyone tell me what the cost of books for courses are at TESC? With the comprehensive degree plan, are they included in the cost or additional?

You can (and should) check the syllabus before you register. That tells you the course's book list. Some have 1, others have 4!!! Sorry I can't be specific, but if you do course registration searches you can open them that way i think. Maybe a current student can chime in.
Anyway, check books first. MANY of my books I got second hand- old editions- and cheap. I used an old edition on accident, and found out about 3/4 in that it didn't matter- so after that, I bought old ones on purpose lol. So, if you order new books, be prepared to waste a lot of money- NEVER use the TESC bookstore link.

No, books are not included in the comprehensive (or enrolled) tuition.

But arent books supposed to be covered by financial aid? My wife about 8 years ago got her books and didnt pay out of pocket. But she doesnt remember how she got the books paid. She only attended one semester and remembers signing up and books coming in the mail and some dvd's.
If they are not covered by fafsa then what? What is the point of signing up for a student with aid in place?

What school did she attend ? Penn Foster includes the cost of books in their tuition and another ( I forget the name) has a book grant.

If you have FA, I believe you can order books through TESC charged against your FA and pay TESC price with no out of pocket cost to you.
OR, you can get a FA overpayment refund, order books on ebay and keep the change.
