My recommendation to anyone taking an ECE is to go to the EC website and download the free Exam Content Guide for that particular exam. It gives very accurate information of what will be on the test and they even include a short practice exam. The other thing that helped me is I purchased the practice exams that they offer for ECE's. (They are 2 for $65). Yes, this might sound pricey but to me it was worth it. The practice exams are just like the real exam and shows you what EC wants you to focus on for the exam--- they helped me more than any other resource for the exam. And of course I would recommend IC flashcards and Specific Exam Feedback.

I agree with Creative. Buy the practice tests! They are the best prep available. I took an ECE exam earlier this week (my first and last since it finished out my degree). Many of the questions on the exam were also on the practice tests. Good luck!

I couldn't agree more. You can also subscribe to the specific exam feedback section here and get some good feedback and study sources. In all honesty, I never used the study guides or the recommended textbooks for any of the ECE's. I did use the practice exams were available. For the ethics exams you will find the same scenarios used on the practice exam as the real exam which saves you time and stress. I guess if I had more study time I could have used the study guides and textbook and scored A's but I was happy with my results. These exams are harder and more involved than the CLEP and DSST exams but they are doable. Just make sure you can apply the concepts to scenarios or you will struggle. These exams are not just memorizing facts and definitions. Good luck!
