I haven't read this entire thread and have to apologize for not being very detailed, but I have been traveling for business in Asia the past two weeks and I am jet lagged and totally exhausted. (though I am having a great time )

Don't waste any time at the CC level - just get the biz degree at one of the big 3 and spend any extra time and money on an MBA. If you dislike math like I do, then COSC is the way to go. My BS in Biz admin is a concentration and not a major, so the requirements are difficult. Basically I don't know anything about statistics or calculus, but I have the business knowledge, which is what I needed. The math requirements are fulfilled by the College Math CLEP. Even someone like me who had not taken a math class since the early 90's could pass the Math CLEP with just a few weeks of study, so don't be intimidated.

You will have to take statistics during your MBA, so I think you should try and learn it at the undergrad level first when there is no pressure.
I bet a lot of people jump out of an MBA when the statistics course begins due to fear of failure. Statistics is odd and strange but you can learn it if you start with the basics and work your way up.
I learned quite a bit in my two weeks with ALEKS statistics and I spent about one week reading a basic stats book and doing some instantcert flash cards prior to ALEKS. It prepared me well for stats in my MBA.

Well, that's an interesting question. I just learned from Wikipedia that a BBA and a BSBA are two different degrees. I always assumed that the BBA was a more abbreviated acronym of a BSBA--but apparently it's not! That makes me feel even better about my Excelsior degree--as, contrary to my prior post, TESC does not offer a BBA--the only offer a BSBA. Still preferable to a Bachelor of Science, General Business (BSBG?) but not by much. Thanks for asking the question. I don't have an answer, but I learned something!

I was interested in earning a degree from the Big 3 (especially from Excelsior) because I had given up hope at being able to study as a regular international student in Germany until I came across a list of Universities and Colleges that they recognized, and Excelsior happened to be listed.

As to what these lists represent, I'm really not so sure to be honest with everyone. I have tried getting in contact with the "Educational Board" from Germany (they are known as the ZAST located in Munich) but they don't reply.

I believe since you can earn a Bachelors/Masters from the schools listed, it is how they are able to evaluate the transcripts. It's a very complicated process, because not only do you have to apply to the University for admission, your trancripts (High School, College, SAT Score, AP Scores) have to be reviewed and deemed equivalent to be able to study at either a Hochschule or Fachhochschule. There is a big thread about this which ( at Toytown ) I will not get into much detail about as it stresses me out ..

As the required criteria one must have taken enough Math courses. That is what my problem is .. I am horrible at math .. and it frustrates me and at many times discourages me and brings me into a depression. I can not grasp the concept. The math course that I must have is Calculus, and if I can pass AP Calculus AB with a score of 4, at my CC it gives me credit for Caculus 1 and Pre-Calculus , which would solve my problems.

I don't think they even know what ACE is or much less what it would stand for but they would probably research it if only the Math courses stated ACE next to them on the transcript which I believe are written next to the course. I would also need a letter grade and not a Pass/Fail as I think it wouldn't help me if they didn't state a grade.

I've gotten in contact with the University, but they seem reluctant to give information. Either because they can't or because they don't know. The only thing they stated was "some trigonometry involved". Their course major, "International Management" only has two math courses throughout the whole major which would be Business Statistics and Business Mathematics. But as I mentioned , the main importance to even think of studying in Germany is to get by the ZAST first and they require to see Calculus done.

I'm willing to study and put in the effort, but I do not know where to begin ... reaching Calculus seems impossible for me .. much less pass the AP Calculus AB with a 4 .. I mean honestly .. I would rate my math level at Pre-Algebra or Algebra 1 ..

I know it takes practise .. but as in the AP Test you only need to know certain specifics of Calculus , is it possible to do the same with the lower levels of math to reach up to the upper level?

I want to work internationally and the reason I wanted to go and graduate from a German University is because they see America's educational quality as non equivalent to their own, and since I would like to live in Germany (I also speak it not fluently but yeah..) a company is more lenient on hiring those who graduated from the German Educational system then those who haven't unless they have a very good employment record/experience and come from a well known University in the USA ..

Any input, advice, opinions are welcomed. I don't have many people to talk to about my goals and aspirations, everyone just brings me down and makes me feel like an idiot. Thank you for listening and for your replies.

Use ALEKS to study up through pre-calculus. At your own pace, $20 a month. Supplement it with free lecture videos from KhanAcademy.com and PatrickJMT.com. They will show you the "how and why" and ALEKS will give you a never-ending run of randomly-generated problems with full solutions and descriptions available to show you exactly how to solve the generated problem before you.

Khan Academy and PatrickJMT also have calculus, linear algebra, etc. Patrick has more advanced math.

Also, go to reddit.com/r/learnmath and ask away. It's designed specifically for people who want to learn. There are real mathematicians hanging out there to guide you as long as you put forth the effort.
