Best way to get my Sports Management degree?
#1
Hey there! Im interested in earning a degree in sports management online and I’m just trying to figure out the best school and process. I have 43 credits I completed at a state school and I would need just 7 courses to finish my associates degree. I was originally planning on finishing my associates at the school I’m currently enrolled in before transferring to a university that offered my degree but decided to use an online avenue to save time and money. I’m leaning towards SNHU because I’m most comfortable with their school as it’s what I’ve been mainly researching. However it was suggested that I ask on here to see if another school would be better for me to attend overall. What I like about SNHU is the affordability. I feel it’s a great option to finish my associates and those annoying general Ed classes through Sophia that I know SNHU accepts. I’m also a fan of how efficient I could earn my degree. Would I benefit from a different school? What are the prices compared to SNHU? I’m still pretty new to this idea as well because I just changed my plans pretty abruptly so I’m also not super knowledgeable about what these schools offer. Thank you for reading all that if you made it all the way down here  Big Grin

@OP, I call it soccer too, but I know friends who call it "football", it's the same to me... Anyways, I suggest staying with University of North Georgia for your Associates degree, you can complement the current courses you have with CLEP exams using Modernstates.org for free... you should almost be able to complete degree requirements for an Associates, if they take all of the remaining classes with CLEP, even better!

There are a few options for Sports Management, I've seen a few options, SNHU is a pretty good option if you decide to go for a Bachelors or Masters. When I was looking at Fort Hays for a BS Computer Science, I noticed they have an option as well... I like public/state schools as a first choice more than an online/private school. You can ladder a Fort Hays Bachelors with their MBA with a Sports Management MBA...

My question to you is, do you really need a "Sports Management" Bachelors and/or Masters? Would a general studies or liberal arts Bachelors and a MBA/MSOL do, in addition to a Sports Management undergrad/grad certificate do for you? It depends what your final goal is, technically, everyone's needs/wants are different. First off, email UNG and ask if they accept 7 CLEPs to allow you to finish your Associates...

Instead of Sports Management, how about a BALS NSM (natural science and math). I think you'd be able to fill it with cheap science/nutrition classes from elsewhere. XAMK has a couple of free courses that might work for this.
In progress:
TESU - BA Computer Science; BSBA CIS; ASNSM Math & CS; ASBA

Completed:
Pierpont - AAS BOG
Sophia (so many), The Institutes (old), Study.com (5 courses)
ASU: Human Origins, Astronomy, Intro Health & Wellness, Western Civilization, Computer Appls & Info Technology, Intro Programming
Strayer: CIS175, CIS111, WRK100, MAT210
