Best free Financial/Accounting courses?

I am waiting to start my masters (applied and accepted already) but in the mean time want to do some studying in the realm of finances and accounting since they are areas I lack more experience in. I tend to do best when there is an online test, but obviously I do no need any formal credit. If you were in my situation, what would you go for? I am especially interested to hear comparisons between platforms.

Try EDX. Between my son and myself, we completed about 10 courses with them. All of them except one was very well done. It has been a while, but I think they are still free if you don't want a verified certificate. There are also many that are self-paced.
