ASU is a real PAC-12 University.
In my case, ASU online wanted 30 SH for a BS in HSEM.
TESU wanted 27 SH,
and Excelsior College 4 SH.
I went with EC (path of least resistance), but I would have done ASU over TESU if only 3 SH was the difference.

Your degree does NOT come from Pearson. It's an ASU degree.
- Online students earn the same degree on-campus students receive.

Pearson might run the back-end, but they aren't doing the coursework - that's the dominion of ASU professors.

Agreed. I’ve been researching this. Homeschool parents who have used ea.ASU.edu courses with their kids and transferred them into brick and mortar colleges, like Clemson, have had high praise for some of their courses (English 101 consistently) and said their transcripts read just as any other ASU brick and mortar student’s transcript. No “global” listing or differentiation. Personally, I’m looking at the English course for my son. I thought it might be a low risk way to try an online course with instructors (vs self paced stuff). Many of his IT courses will be 8 week sessions, some all online, some hybrid, some face to face.
I love the idea of being able to pay/transcript it only if you like your grade, or take it again if you want to improve. $425 is less than I’d pay at his cc with books. He’s also doing some CLEPs for the same reasons. Minimal risk, highly transferable.

The Pac-12 Conference is one of the Big 5 college sports conferences. Universities like these get huge corporate and personal branding from sports.
The Big-3 get ZERO and have almost no corporate branding nor will you get any personal branding from them. They are check-the-box accredited degree colleges and still very useful.
