Bachelor's - Early Childhood Education (Test out of classes)
#1
School: Charter Oak State College

Hi,

I am new to all of this.

I have an Associate's at my local community college in Early Childhood Education & would like to continue through and complete the Bachelor's.

I am a mother of three, and don't have time to take the remaining courses & would like to test out of the remaining course work.

This is the Bachelor's degree program on Charter Oak State College's website:
https://www.charteroak.edu/early-childhood-education/

These are the exams that are offered (Early Childhood exams are available in the middle of page 3):
https://www.charteroak.edu/pdf/charter-o...values.pdf

I have new idea how to analyze these exams, and what classes they replace on the course list shown above. Because the course names are different.

Can someone help me create a degree plan? It would be extremely appreciated.

Hello, I searched through the course equivalencies and their BS degree program page, but I can't even find a one-to-one correspondence between some of those exam courses and the ones listed on their program. It looks like you'd still be required to take a few other courses in one of their tracks even if you were to take all of those exams, and then also prereqs like Psychology and Sociology if you haven't already done so. Maybe another poster has more info on COSC.

If you might be interested, I know that Walden's BS in ECS is competency-based learning, and you can transfer in up to 75% of all degree credits. It may or may not be a good fit for you, but with an AA in ECS, you might be able to progress quickly through the assessments. You could read more here: https://www.waldenu.edu/online-bachelors...o-learning

Edit: They are currently offering a 50% tuition discount for the life of the program, bringing the total to $750 per three-month term.
