Can someone help me begin planning?

While I agree that Sophia.org is easier than CLEP in general, the exception would be for subjects with which one is already familiar. If OP is a history buff, and also recently covered the same material in high school, s/he may be able to walk in and just pass those tests cold.

I would agree.  Plus they're free through Modern States.
