I have read that the Sophia Calculus has previously been accepted for: 1) MAT140 requirement for a BABA, and 2) Learning Objective 3A, and 3) Learning Objective 3B. Is there a way to validate if this is still the case?

Calculus is still being accepted by UMPI in place of MAT140 for BABA students. I see it happen all the time on Discord.

Great, thanks very much for confirming. I've jumped on discord and it looks like the general consensus it that the UMPI MAT140 course is much easier so I'll probably do that instead.
I'm pretty bad at maths so I'm looking for the easiest course to cover LO 3A and 3B. Do you know if Foundations of Statistics will transfer across as 3 credits? Some people on Reddit are suggesting that it only counts for 2 credits.

Hmm, wouldn't it be more beneficial to take the classes at Sophia.org and transfer them in, for those who are having issues with math? Here's the thing, you're thinking of going the easy way out, you want to think it over a little bit more and decide if this is the way to go. For example, if you're going for a Masters or whatever like a grad cert, if it requires a tad more knowledge in the math area than what's offered at Sophia/UMPI or something else, you want to make sure you have the prerequisites and knowledge for that. Here's a read of a post I made earlier: https://www.degreeforum.net/mybb/Thread-...#pid408856

MAT140 is way, way easier than Sophia Calculus. I haven't taken MAT140, but based on what others have said I can pretty much confirm that's the case.
For easy math to meet 3A & 3B, just take Sophia's Intro to College Math or College Algebra. Don't overthink it.
I don't think Foundation of Stats is a viable choice, but Intro to Stats should be.
In progress:
TESU - BA Computer Science; BSBA CIS; ASNSM Math & CS; ASBA
Completed:
Pierpont - AAS BOG
Sophia (so many), The Institutes (old), Study.com (5 courses)
ASU: Human Origins, Astronomy, Intro Health & Wellness, Western Civilization, Computer Appls & Info Technology, Intro Programming
Strayer: CIS175, CIS111, WRK100, MAT210

Those math classes don't work for 3A or 3B for BABA students who are required to complete MAT140 for those areas of the GEC.

I had to do Algebra and Calculus to fill the GEC and MAT140 requirement. If you are any good with the Matheay calculator then Calculus wasn’t terrible. I had time on my side so I went ahead and did it at Sophia.

I decided to challenge myself with Calculus instead of trying to speedrun the entire course catalogue on Sophia and, so far, its been pretty good. I've finished the challenges and 2 milestones and I'm on 100% (with a bit of luck as well).

So Algebra was to fill the GEC and Calculus to fill the MAT140 requirement? I was hoping Calculus would take care of all 3.

Calculus fulfills all math areas of the GEC and the MAT140 requirement. Just make sure you have 40 credits in the GEC.

Here's the link to equivalencies on the WIKI, it should be up to date: https://degreeforum.miraheze.org/wiki/UM...quivalents
You just need one of the math classes to hit both the requirements, but for learning/knowledge gaps, you can take more math.
