Out-of-state grad students pay $822/hour tuition

Only the specific programs listed on the eTuition webpage have tuition rates that do not make a distinction based on residency.
That means a single class for a non-Georgia resident in one of these Masters is almost 3 grand once you add the online student fee.
The 30 hour MA in Intelligence/cyber security for example would be over 24,000 in tuition alone.
Also, the PhD will be a hybrid program and is also $822/HR or just under $50,000 plus fees.
In either case, none of them are in my budget.
I just got this email back from their online admissions.
" I can only provide you with tuition information for our MAISS and MPA program as I only work with our online Masters programs.
There is no differences for In State and Out State. The cost per credit hour is $236.
MAISS program is a 30 credit hour program.
MPA program is a 36 credit hour program.
I hope this helps!

Christina Langdon

I believe what you have been told, but I was sent to the tuition page I linked above after speaking with the MAISS program director.
https://www.augusta.edu/tuition/program.php?id=235
Makes me wonder if Admissions and the department are on the same page.
Presuming the cost is only 236 for out of state folks, it would be a hell of a deal, but this website doesn't reflect that. NOT saying you are wrong. I'm just saying that if the cost is 236, they REALLY need to update their website.

This degree is only offered as a distance/online degree, so this isn’t a situation where there is one tuition scale for in-person and another for distance students. The facts that 1) the MAISS is not listed on the page showing discounted online tuition, 2) the MAISS has its own tuition page, and 3) the MAISS tuition page address is …Augusta.edu/tuition/… and not associated with the college or program offering the degree to me all point to FireMedic likely being correct and the admissions rep being wrong.

All very true! I will note that the MAISS
is brand new. There's a
chance that there will be discounted out-of-state online tuition but that information hasn't propagated through Augusta University's website and staff yet.

I’m in the M.Ed here. Challenging program, but very, very affordable. I live in a state bordering Georgia, and will pay around 7k for the degree.
