Atten: Charter Oak State College and Penn Foster
#1
Hi,
Does anyone currently attend Charter Oak State College and transfered over credits from Penn Foster College? I know that Penn Foster College is ACE Approved but Charter Oak Catalog states that it doesn't accept credits from schools that are not regionally accredited. I have tried to contact Charter Oak but havent received a response. I currently live overseas so it is difficult to reach them.

I don't know anything about Charter Oak but I would suggest you try calling them (admissions office) or sending them an email. I did send them a couple of emails back when I was deciding which college to go to and they were very quick with responses.

Hopefully you'll find the answers that you're looking for. Good luck.

I looked into taking a course at Penn Foster, and to transfer the credit I needed to have it ACE transcripted. Which is not difficult, but takes time. I would make sure that the course you want to take is ACE approved.

The gave me 2 credits for technical math 1. Although, ACE stated 3 credits in algebra. No problems accepting it.

I'm currently at 100 credits with Charter Oak.

Email your advisor about the issue.

Does COSC give a letter grade for PFC courses, or just pass/fail?

I hear they only take classes from RA schools but if you ACE transcript they may take it, I would call them to verify if they will.
