Associates in CS help

True, it really depends on the priorities you set for yourself. The AALS wouldn't exactly be what you're looking for, but you can always ladder that to the BLS with a minor in CS, MIS, etc. Having said that, you're putting less time into the degree daily and have a August 2026 timeline. If what you mentioned is correct, without a budget/tuition limit, you can do the edX classes for the cornerstone and capstone at TESU, then just pay the residency waiver fee as you're taking anything with them, making it a 100% transfer solution!

Yeah, Liberal Studies won't work, my state license requirement says it needs to be related to my teaching field. I'm currently working on a waiver, but that only works for a year, hence my end of the summer requirements.

I think I'm in agreement with you on the AAS in Applied Computer Studies, but I don't see anything specific to it on the Wiki except one that was in the ZZZ Obsolete category lol. Is there a sample spreadsheet for this course somewhere that I missed, or at least a list of requirements for the course so I can try to figure out what I need to take and where to take it? I don't mind paying the residency fee waiver but wouldn't I still need a certain amount of RA credits? Where would I go about getting those?

For many people the bachelor's degree is not much longer than the associate degree. You have far more options with a bachelor's degree than an associate degree in online learning.

question:

The AA Liberal Studies looks interesting, expecially the concentrations in Creative Writing and als Science & Mathematics
https://catalog.umpi.edu/preview_program...urnto=260#

however, the Creative Writing concentration says

And complete a minimum of 21 credit hours from the following:

** Course may be taken twice for credit but none of those English courses are offered through YourPace
https://catalog.umpi.edu/content.php?cat...navoid=317

So does that mean the Creative Writing concentration cannot be taken through YourPace ?

And hardly any of the science and math concentration courses are offered through YourPace

it seems like the only concentration that can be done thrpug YourPace is the Business Administration Concentration

and that seems BORING

You can do the AALS at UMPI without a concentration. Just take classes that are interesting and also fit the bachelor’s.

The catalog you're looking at is for on campus students not YourPace students. All minors available in YourPace are on the YourPace website. Some of the other minors may be able to be transferred in but you'd have to complete all of the required courses elsewhere and that's not possible with several of the minors.

While you may find business to be BORING many of us do not. Plenty of people on here have business degrees and earn a nice living from them.

None of those work for me anyways, I was hoping for some more info on the TESU AAS we were talking about above. Does anyone have a course catalog or such for it?

1) You need RA, if you're missing RA, click the ENEB discount thread and select the double Masters program using my ambassador code to get it for $399 USD. You then need these evaluated as graduate credit, not as Bachelors degrees, by following the WIKI. Have these transferred into TESU to take up the electives option of your AAS.

AAS: https://tesu.smartcatalogiq.com/en/curre...r-studies/
AS: https://tesu.smartcatalogiq.com/en/curre...r-science/

2) Do both associates by taking as many cheapies/freebies as possible, the two edX classes for cornerstone/capstone, Coursera certificates with classes that come in as CS/CIS/IT and business/project management, etc. Sophia.org, Study.com combo for remaining CIS/CS related classes, and you're done!

I did look at those links earlier, but when I try to see the actual ACS classes required, it says:
  • II. Applied Computer Studies Requirements (21 Credits)

  • Complete 18 credits in the Applied Computer Studies area and the 3 credit Capstone course. For course options, please contact an academic advisor.
I've been looking in the actual course catalog and I can't find what exactly those ACS area courses are so that I can figure out what I need to take and where to take them.  I'm fine with the GenEd stuff.
