Associates AFTER Bachelor's Degree?

I was going to apply for the ASNSM in CS to be awarded at the same time as my BACS since they would do it for the same graduation fee. It turned out I would need one more course, one I could probably PLA, but it isn't worth the effort to add it on.

I agree with the members on this forum. I would go for an associates if it's in a completely different field than your Bachelors. For example, an ASNSM in Biology would work well if you would like to go into pharmaceutical sales or management or work in a health lab environment; after obtaining the Bachelors of BSBA it will enhance your chances of getting into management positions within that department or field.

I am at a cross roads and thinking about a career change. I enjoy my position with my current employer. However, I am pretty much as far up as I can go here. Also, I am not very fulfilled working in manufacturing. Although I work in a management capacity, the job is mundane and not that difficult. I suppose I should not complain. My perspective would be completely different if I were similar in age and experience to the other managers.

I am the youngest manager on staff (just turned 30) :nopity:
Policies and procedures are outdated. The staff is reluctant to changes and the overall perspective here is "We do it this way because it's always been done this way..."

So, I figure I am young enough to bow out gracefully and seek other employment in a different industry...

My random thoughts about furthering my education all stem from this.
Now I am rambling ...thanks again

An unfortunate amount of people can relate to this. Can make a job super frustrating.

*sigh* I had the same type of feeling when I left my previous job of 7.5 years to this current one.
That was 8 years ago, I haven't looked back yet, but the thought of staying did (at that time).
My suggestion is to find a better match in the interim before you actually quit, have something lined up first.

It may not be a better paying job, but as you are happier, you can try to move up to a higher position then, like middle management.
Especially when you've got a Bachelors and have MBA in progress within your resume/CV, it should be easier to obtain than before.
Once you reach middle management and have been with the company for a few years, see if there are upper management positions open.

Let me clarify -
I don't have any frustrations with my job ...at all....I enjoy my work. I have issues with my EMPLOYER and the overall corporate culture. Without going into detail I will say my job involves cost accounting.

-I have strongly considered the alternatives. I don't intend to leave my position until I am gainfully employed. A little less pay can mean a little less stress and that is OK with me. It's not all about money for me. It's about maintaining my integrity and ethical standards. Can't put a price on that!

An AAS (real skill) degree would go great with 90% of the unskilled BS degrees out there!
