I am wondering if it is even worth it to pursue this. I would only do it just to say I have an Associates degree
Do you think there is an affordable way to obtain an A.A. or A.S. degree in Business after obtaining a bachelors? (When I say affordable I mean less than 1k) 
I am considering applying to a local cc I attended and have almost met residency requirements (would need to take 1-2 classes; cost would be about 300-400). I could transfer my coursework back there and graduate in a semester?
Or, are there cheaper alternatives?
As long as the degree is regionally accredited, I don't care where it comes from.

I guess there are a few ways to look at it in my mind (other people may see it differently as well).
1) Do it for yourself because it makes you feel more accomplished/better/happier to check the box (a dean at a local CC was telling me he just did this after 20+ years of working in academia. I rather wonder if it is because he wants to prove the value of an AA since that is what he's getting paid to move students through).
2) It's not necessary to have an AA after a BA, especially since you are already working on a MBA (unless it is in a completely different technical field, say nursing), and no employer is going to look at your BA and say "oh. But I don't see an AA here...?"
3) If you are in a town with huge pride for local CC grads, going ahead and getting that piece of paper with the local name may make a difference in future jobs/mentoring opportunities.
4) If for some reason you are unsure of how Kaplan degrees may be viewed in the future and want to lock your credits in somewhere else as well.

I thought about this as well. I have two national certifications but I can't sit for the state bar certification because I haven't taken one of their "approved" programs. I'd literally be going back to get an AA or Certificate just so I can sit for the state exam because my BS is not approved by the ABA.
I can't begin to tell you all the feelings I have about that.
In your case though futuremrsmlb, you are working on an MBA so I don't get it. ????

It can have some use only if it is in an entirely different subject from your bachelors and it enhances your resume. For example, getting an AA in general studies is not going to help you any. But if it was maybe an AAS or something applied that's different but ties into your career than it can be an enhancement.

Don't waste time by trying to save time. The only sure way to complete your degree is to knock out credits quickly and efficiently.
Don't let easiness bite you in the rear. Know your endgame (where you want to be) and plan backward from there. Your education is a means to an end.
Be honest professionally, socially and academically. There are people (especially little ones) who look up to you and they're going by your example.
Be proud. Whether you're an Engineer or Fast Food worker, there is honor and dignity in hard work.
Picking on people weaker than you only proves that you are a weak person.

Well my B.S is in Professional Studies. I would like to consider a A.A or A.S in business or business administration. Yes, I am pursing an MBA. Personally, I think you can accomplish the same result by putting "MBA candidate" on your resume. If the AA was a bit more specialized, like say Project Management, or stats or something business related, but specific. I don't think an AA in Business will enhance putting your MBA with your expected grad date.
I noticed a stark difference in employer attitudes towards my resume by doing just that.

I will echo others' comments that it doesn't really make much sense in this scenario to get an AS unless it's for personal development or in a very specialized niche. You're already in an MBA program, so getting your AS in Business isn't really going to be that helpful. If anything, it's going to raise eyebrows, probably in a bad way.
Why not take that time, effort, and money and put it toward some professional certification to spice up your resume?
