I know this is a little out of the degree forum area of expertise a little, but does anyone know about transferring a completed associate to American Public University?
I'm getting a technical degree from Penn Foster and am looking at Bachelor options, and want to know if APU is the kind of school that would block transfer the 60 AS credits.
Any input?

From what I understand, Penn Foster degrees generally do not transfer to another institution; unless things have changed seriously since the last time the wiki page was edited.

APU accepts NA credits, so they should accept Penn Foster credits but it will probably be on a one-for-one basis and not as a block transfer.

After thinking about it, you may be able to get a block transfer towards APU's BAS in Technical Management.

APU's competency-based Momentum program requires an AA/AS degree be transferred in to start - and then the remaining 60cr is done there, and it's all major coursework.
Otherwise, they don't do block transfers that I'm aware of for regular degree programs.

dfrecore,
Any more info on the difficulty level of this degree? This is the first I'm hearing about this and it sounds promising. I'm getting Ashworth + Penn Foster for penny's with ACE credit and it would be awesome to roll it into something.
Edit: I'm trying to find out if I can transfer addition classes into the program, say, use 60 credits to get my AS from Ashworth and then transfer in an additional 15? I know with the normal IT they are kind of strict but I'm not sure if that is the case here.
Much, much thanks for you expertise!
