Unfortunately, I already graduated with my first AA back in 2013. I got hired later that year, and per our union contract, the AA or BA have to be attained while being an active employee. Because of that, I do not believe I am eligible for this program.
So go for that BABA! You can complete it in under a year especially since you already have an AA meaning you'll have transfer credit and can complete the remaining needed credits to be in great shape to complete UMPI in 2-3 sessions.
I agree. Depending on what you're taking right now, you can probably do both UMPI and EGCC at the same time. You said you're limited to 15 credits in a single year from EGCC and that's not a lot. A 40% bump in salary is over $1000/mo. at minimum wage. Again, hopefully, you're earning more than that. The sooner you get this done, the better!
Your list of classes, does that include the AA you graduated with in 2013? If not, please list all credits you've earned, whether from EGCC or elsewhere.
Yes! So as a personal example, my gross monthly salary will increase from $4860/month to $7216/month after I get my Bachelors. For the same position, duties, etc. All I have to do is put in the work (and spend as little $ as possible for the degree ![Big Grin Big Grin](https://www.degreeforum.net/mybb/images/smilies/biggrin.png) ).
So those classes are going to be just from EGCC. I haven't listed my classes from my first AA yet, but will do so below. I'm not sure I want to include any of these with my transfers because to get the salary increase at my employer, the degrees have to be attained while an active employee. I started the below degree in 2009 and finished in 2013, about six months before I got hired here. AFAIK, these credits (if transferred) will show up on my new transcripts from EGCC/UMPI with the completion date listed, and I want to avoid any potential mishaps with all that.

You should simply ask and get that detail straightened out. I would strongly expect that the only thing that will matter is the date the degree is awarded/conferred. Also, most schools require that ALL previous transcripts be submitted before graduation. Yes, they can and do find out. This is so they can be sure you aren't breaking any rules about the number of degrees awarded or already having a too similar degree. It also creates a barrier against students who have outstanding balances at other schools and can't get their transcripts.

Maybe so. I will definitely ask to get clarification, but this is an excerpt from our union contract regarding the credits:
The employee must obtain the approved professional growth courses and obtain the associated credits while employed by the District.
Because if this, I'm assuming if it shows that I transferred credits I got back before my hire date in 2013 on my transcripts, that could create a problem for me regardless of the fact that I got my degree. That's the biggest reason I was originally opposed to transferring any of them and just finishing my AA at EGCC, then getting whatever I can from Study/Sophia, and knocking out the last bit at UMPI.

Yeah, you need to get that clarified ASAP. If EGCC and/or UMPI finds out about your prior degree without you disclosing it, you could potentially have your degree(s) revoked. This could also include the loss of any credits you've earned since your first Associate degree. Which could potentially get you in hot water with your union. Much easier to get this sorted out now.
I strongly suspect that, at least for the Bachelor's degree, the union won't care about anything but the award date. A substantial percentage of students think that they must get an Associate first, then a Bachelor's degree in the future. If the union restricted the pay bump to just people who earned 100% of their degree while a member, with absolutely no prior credit, they might as well not have such a policy for raises in the first place. Almost nobody would qualify.
In progress:
TESU - BA Computer Science; BSBA CIS; ASNSM Math & CS; ASBA
Completed:
Pierpont - AAS BOG
Sophia (so many), The Institutes (old), Study.com (5 courses)
ASU: Human Origins, Astronomy, Intro Health & Wellness, Western Civilization, Computer Appls & Info Technology, Intro Programming

Sorry for all the confusion. I just checked my prior emails with staff at EGCC and I actually did submit my AA transcripts. I had thought I only submitted my high-school transcripts. Looks like I should be in the clear.
And yeah, you're right that I should dig in more. Maybe I could use some of those classes from my first AA to fill up some transferable credits for UMPI.

Why are you retaking courses as EGCC that you've already taken at your previous school? Your previous credits should have transferred into EGCC, leaving you with a lot fewer courses to take (I'm talking about Eng Comp I, Prin of Management, Gen Psych, and Business Comm)? You should make sure you're not taking more courses that you absolutely need to.
I would also say that I would skip getting the business degree at EGCC, just get the Networking certificate, and switch to UMPI for the business degree there. It will be MUCH faster to do this, as you just don't need all of those courses in order to make the switch to UMPI.
At the minimum, I would only take the following (which will fulfill either the GEC or major component of your UMPI BABA degree):
Financial Accounting
Intro to Business
Microeconomics
Business Communications
American Govt
HRM
Marketing
Org Behavior
TESU BSBA/HR 2018 - WVNCC BOG AAS 2017 - GGU Cert in Mgmt 2000

You've got what looks to be a physical science (the earth sciences), but I don't see a biology. You're going to want to take Human Biology, with lab, from Sophia before continuing to UMPI.

So to explain further, I'm only going back to school because my employer gives us a salary increase upon getting an associates, and then when you get a bachelors. It's on a salary schedule from letter F-M. The caveat is that you have to be employed while getting these college credits, you have to get an associates degree to pass step I (no other way to pass step I, you must get your associates to go further), and you only can reach the maximum upon getting your bachelors. Because I got my previous AA before I was employed here, it doesn't count for these professional growth steps. Thus, I have to get another associates degree to pass step I, then finally end up with my bachelors to reach the maximum salary. I'm only going to school for the salary increase, and the tuition at EGCC is free under my union, so I'm not paying anything out of pocket for it.

Thank you! I heard that one was a little easier than the one at UMPI, which is good because science classes aren't my best. Upon viewing the list of courses I will have completed at EGCC, is Human Biology the only one I should take before UMPI? I'm trying to spend as little as possible at UMPI, so I would rather take more LL courses at SDC/Sophia if at all possible to cut on costs.

I just wanted to circle back to this thread I made instead of creating a new one. I just finished registering for my second to last semester at EGCC. This is what I finished this summer:
MGT201 Principles of Management
MTH105 Quantitative Reasoning
This is what I have on my plate for Fall 2023:
COM101 Public Speaking
ECO102 Microeconomics
ACC111 Financial Accounting
MGT208 Human Resources Management
For Spring 2024, I'll be taking the following:
CYS102 - System Administration
CYS103 - Network Defense
CYS100 - Security Foundations
CYS101 - Networking Foundations
MGT206 - Business Management Capstone
After I graduate, I'll be registering at Sophia to take any and all classes I could possibly take to get the full 90 credits before transferring into UMPI. Unfortunately, after looking at my transcripts, I think I'll still need about 40 units or so to hit that goal? Very few of my courses from my first AA will transfer, two of them being duplicates from what I've taken at EGCC. Reviewing this thread, I can see I'll need some science courses + lab. I'm just unsure on what I will need to take from Sophia or anywhere else before enrolling at UMPI for Fall 2024. I'm hoping I can get everything done during the summer after graduating from EGCC.
Thanks for everybody's help, I'm a bit of mess trying to plan this all out so I don't waste any time or money

If these courses aren't required for your associate degree, then I wouldn't take them at your college because they'll be cheaper and faster on Sophia or at UMPI. If these aren't required and you can take more comp sci courses I would do that instead because UMPI doesn't have comp sci courses at this time.
COM101 Public Speaking
ECO102 Microeconomics
ACC111 Financial Accounting
MGT208 Human Resources Management
You'll also need macro econ in order to transfer micro econ to UMPI.
