Love how TESU has delayed the arrival of the ASBA, BSBA & now AFA (not sure if anyone calls it that but I just did Each one has been fun to receive and enjoy because each are another reminder of the adventurous journey it took to accomplish them. For those (most/many) in the forum who have received this award - is the design of the Arnold Fletcher Award aka AFA the same as years past minus the new name?
With Thomas giving me these weekly/monthly gifts, it is beginning to tug on my emotions and inspiring me to think about jumping on a flight for graduation.
Damn You TESU!!!!

I'm bummed that I'm ineligible for the AFA. My AA was done in a traditional CC route, and most of my BA credit after that came from Patten, which is certainly not a traditional route, but still looks on paper to be just a normal college when transferred in to TESU.

Those look just fabulous! Haha, if you do have that time and resources to fly down, it would be worth it just for the memories and the feeling of accomplishment. I don't know what I'll do when it hits me...

Got mine yesterday too. Exciting to see it, especially since my wife graduated (10 years ago) Cum Laude - couldn't qualify for that distinction since my degree was 100% by testing out, but the 'AFA' is the next best thing!
So, I live only 1/2 hour away from Trenton...still feel weird about attending graduation at 45 years old...

DBRENNAN118,
I am going and I am 43 years old...hehehe. Hack we all worked hard for this so why should we feel like that anyway? I am hoping to see many of our forum members in person, just don't call us on stage by the screen name...lol
and I am coming all the way from Atlanta...with family, will be long drive!!
TESU - BSBA General Management (Completed !!)
WGU MBA - Journey Started for 2016 -2017 .
C200 Managing Organizations and Leading People (Complete 11/7/16)
C202 Managing Human Capital
C211 Global Economics for Managers
Awesome DBRENNAN118! It has been shared before but I'll add that with your proximity to TESU, my vote is for you to go for sure. The make up in ages will most likely be a good mix but one would figure there will be way more 30-50 year olds than 20-30. If by chance I am off, all that will mean is the after party will be just a little crazier hosted by a younger mix. Sure to be a cool memory either way.
Of course this is all from the guy undecided. However, Laguna Beach to Trenton is a little more than 2 hours away.

I'm about an hour south of you.

Need help with portfolios? I earned 18 credits at TESU through portfolio evaluations. Nine of those were for upper level accounting courses. My advice for PLA/portfolios: TESU portfolio tips The first post has the Portfolio Checklist I created. Page ten has the actual narrative I wrote to receive credit for ACC-440.
Using Straighterline's Financial Accounting as a substitute for TESU's Intermediate Accounting I? Don't do it if you are an accounting major and/or want your CPA license. They are not the same course and I think TESU has erred in accepting the SL course as Intermediate I. I made this discovery here: Intermediate Accounting II.
Cool tesu-act-student....We role down to your area in La Jolla Beach a good amount. We treat it as our local getaway. For those that have not been before, it is worth the effort to make it happen.

I didn't realize we had so many SoCal folks! I live in north San Diego County myself. Go walking along the beach in Carlsbad every weekend. Unfortunately, I can't justify flying to NJ for commencement.
