Hi...couldn't find any recent info on this using the search method. Are all DSST exams now computerized like the CLEP- where you can review your answers before submitting the final test and get your score instantly? Some of the posts about DSST exams say that people had to pencil in their answers on paper and wait to receive their score via snail mail. That seems really antiquated in this day in age. When I took the DSST Astronomy, it was computerized like CLEP, which was nice. I don't like to wait!!

My DSST test center changed from paper exams to computer exams about 2 years ago. As far as I know, all of the tests at that center are computerized now, with the possible exception of speech. Since you have already found a center that uses computer-based tests, I think you are fine. There is the possibility that other test centers are still using paper tests and some military centers probably are, too.

It depends on your testing center. At one point, I was planning on taking the Statistics DSST, and the testing center that I was going to take it at only offered the paper version of the test. On the other hand, when I took the Public Speaking DSST (along with all my other DSSTs), it was computerized. So make sure you check with your testing center so you know what to expect on testing day.

No announcement has ever been made from the DSST camp that they are doing away with their paper/pencil exams, versus CLEP who supposedly went to all computer-based exams recently. It is always a good idea when checking out a new test center (to you) to ask which version they offer.
