There are SDC accounting courses which transfer in but I am unsure which would be easier to do.

I know SDC is objectively cheaper, but if I am going to end up having to do three sessions at UMPI anyway, does it make sense to try and do them at SDC before starting UMPI?

I say three sessions as I will be working FT and don't think I will make it through 6-7 courses per session. Probably more likely 4 or 5 per session depending on difficulty.

Thanks in advance.

I can't speak about the intermediate accounting classes at UMPI as I brought most of mine in from SDC though I feel that SDC prepared me fairly well. In general, I feel like SDC courses were harder in the sense that the upper-level classes often had very long, very involved papers, and often two or three in a course. UMPI classes have been fair so far, with plenty to do, but they haven't been an uphill slog like a few of the SDC were for me. That could just be my experience so take it with a grain of salt.

Thanks! I appreciate the feedback!

Also something to consider....are you looking to become a CPA? If so you may need your accounting courses to be completed at a college for licensing purposes.

Yes, I haven't decided yet on the CPA exam. I've checked -- different states have different requirements in terms of courses -- Illinois for example will take ACE credits, Texas will not.  Washington is also very relaxed about it.  So, its one of the things I am factoring in terms of UMPI vs SDC for the accounting classes.  Also trying to balance in how many credits I will be able to do per session, etc.

BTW, I really appreciate your help on this forum and answering all my questions.
