I stated my point. I'm right and that's it and that's no bull! You conservatives make a lot of noise, how the heck did you get lassoed? I'm not giving numbers, you know the facts by now, they are wrecking the country by dividing classes. I don't really give a crap how hard you all work, there are people truly struggling and you are blind or ignorant to this. Very seriously and I can't stress this enough, just who do you people think you are? Most people are not lazy by nature. Give them a purpose and work will get done. Like one of my friends stated a couple of years back and it is so true, it doesn't mean anything to you until it becomes personal. This thread was about the stimulus bill and pork. I don't want to comment any farther on this but if you want to start a different thread on this subject and InstantCert doesn't mind, we can do it. You WILL NOT CHANGE MY MIND so why go there??????? Do you folks watch the evening news or read newspapers. The poor, illiterate, old, retired, minorities, you name it, Capitalism is coming right at them and stealing their $$$$. I am a strong supporter of regulation protecting them and also taking some of the stimulus and sending it their way. That is where I stand. Period. What don't you understand??????

I think we all understand that we are not going to change your mind! The reason we keep replying is that we don't believe that captialism has failed and the solutions you propose go against our core priniciples. I think our disagreement goes much deeper than policy however. I think that mankind if left alone is lazy and has no incentive to work other than to better his position. That issue is at the core of our disagreement.

That is as simple as it gets, as much as I love the freedom of this country and everything it once stood for I want to become an immigrant in another country!!! Aaaaahhhh, what the heck, I'm well rested. You don't know what to think so I'll tell you what you should think. That the conservative movement in this country is based partly on racism, but they will swear that it is not. The conservative movement wants you to think the Dems are going to raise your taxes AND move America into a socialist society. The first is true if you make upwards of $200,000 a year. There is nothing wrong w/that, that's old news. I think they are aiming their arrow at the red states, especially those who don't know better. The false message, they hope will be accepted by the "huddled" masses there, the ones lined up outside the unemployment office, food banks, job fairs and other gatherings where they try for a renewed dream. They don't get it yet, but someday soon they will. At least we can only hope! As far as socialism is concerned, the slight appearance may be there, but how do they explain gov't as it was when they were in power. What kind of hokey gov't was that anyway? That was a democracy, huh? THIS MESS WAS CREATED WHEN THE REPUBLICANS WERE DRIVING. Don't forget that. We can pick out many pork projects, no doubt about it. But the conservatives offer a smokescreen. They want gov't to become crippled so they get their chance to load up again. Fill the "wealthy's " coffers, that is capitalism as they would have it. They have shown how they really feel about people, they really don't give a crap. Recent statistics show blacks are unemployed much higher than whites, hispanics and asians to name a few. I guess they are just lazy, right? Wrong! They are discriminated against as are the poor and even the middle class. Conservative capitalism is a losing hand for all except the rich. Many in the military won't agree w/this and I understand that. When I was in and getting a regular paycheck, I was removed from some of the problems society faced. I never thought about hurting myself lifting crazy weights or playing sports. I would still draw a paycheck. I always had a job. They wouldn't. They were lucky to receive 60-70% of their normal pay while out on disability or workers compensation. Out in the civilian world, they worry about jobs, medical/dental coverage, life insurance and other daily problems. Both have it tough. I worked my a$$ off and never had a problem paying taxes nor donating to charities such as Navy Relief, United Way or many of the others. Why do those who are well connected, had their careers laid out for them paid for by grants and student loans now have a problem helping those in need? What I find hard to understand is how those in the military are making the ultimate sacrifice in Iraq in the name of democracy when at home, our own are forgotten. How did we arrive here? Don't fall for the smoke and mirrors of the conservative movement. They are the real threat to society. Didn't you just witness it? Don't forget it. If there is any chance to kick start this economy, putting $$$ out into the economy makes the most sense. If you were one of the unemployed worried for your kids or families, you'd understand that. It is time to shut up the conservatives. Just because you worked for everything you have in your life is no reason to accept their theories. I'm pretty sure, somewhere, sometime, if maybe for a moment, you rec'd help from someone. So in review, try to understand this lunacy. The conservatives believe we should be in Iraq in the name of spreading democracy, whether they wanted it or not.......because they (Republicans) care about people. Then why are they against helping those who need help right here in what we call the greatest country in the world? How can you possibly buy into their pork talk and wasteful spending rhetoric? I am NOT a Democrat, I am an Independent thinker of and for America. Shut them up once and for all. They are showing you the true "them" and it's pretty ugly if you ask me. I'll be damned if I ever side with any team that has Rush as a spokesman. Depart the premises now!

Why is it, everytime Obama opens his mouth the market goes down? And that seems to be about everyday. I have never seen someone who loves to hear themselves talk so much. The market is down 20 percent just since inauguration day. I started this thread about all of the pork and it has spiraled down even more than when I started this thread. How can anyone look at all of this spending, with no way to pay for it, as a good thing? Obama was up in Columbus yesterday talking with 25 new policeman that wouldn't have kept their job if it weren't for the porkulus bill. What he didn't say was it is only funded for a year. How can people not realize it is better for the economy, to put money in peoples pockets and let them spend it. Not steal from peoples pockets and have the government give it away. That 20 million or whatever for the mice in San Fransisco will sure help the economy. Come on, get off your high and mighty horse. You say you are independant and we are all idiots, blah, blah, blah. Even Chavez from Venezuala said yesterday that we are on a socialist path and need to follow it till the end. I don't know what to say or do anymore. I just want to scream. George Bush made plenty of bad decisions but he spent less in 8 years what Obama has spent in a month and a half. If you tax all the "rich" people, they will not have as much to spend and that will hurt the little guy too, not help him.

I'd love to know what the "GREAT PLAN " was that they were going to unveil after the election. Why didn't they release it for Beta testing prior to the election? Because their other leader, McCain, said America's fundamentals of the economy were strong. So why would they need a plan. And their other leader, Palin was being cutesy and.......well, humorous. I admit Bush and the Democratic congress did a lot of damage, but if Obamas plans are so great, why does the market drop every time he opens his mouth? The market is down on CNBC, and the big three networks also.

Not sure what my CSA is but thanks for making it so personal. It's very personal to me right now. Obama is wanting to cut 10 percent from the defense budget and that could very well cost my job because I work on the new jet engine for the JSF fighter and we will probably lose funding. There are many more jobs tied to our engine program than will be creeated from the porkulus bill. My hope is knowing GE owns NBC and they are Obamas biggest supporter, maybe the "connections" thing will benefit me somehow.

I still don't know how you can blame it all on Bush. Barney Frank and the Democrats are the ones that pushed for giving loans to people that should never have had them.

I am livid right now that my hard earned money is going to help people get lower interest rates and lower principle amounts when MOST are there because they have made and continue to make bad decisions. How about actions having consequences. Maybe they shouldn't have bought a home they couldn't afford. Maybe they should get rid of their cell phones, cable and big screen. Maybe they didn't need 2 new cars on top of there big house.

I could go on for hours but I will never get through to you Gary, just as I will never see your side.
