Hi all,
On 3/22 I will be taking my first CLEP with Instant Cert, any tips? I will be going through all the questions. I also have the REA guide, but it bores me.
Thanks,
Scott

I took this exam a while back, but IC is more than enough for this exam. Make sure you not only fill in the blanks but go over the explanations in detail.
Good Luck.

What are you scoring on the practice tests in the REA guide?
I was getting around 70% and went and took it. Ended up pulling a 66.

yes, I'll just agree. I took that one last fall using the IC and REA. And I have the same problem with that REA book. gosh. it's a bit dry. I find that once I know more of the info and understand it better, then going through the REA helps alot more than if I had done REA first. It just helps me set things straight. But the practice tests in there will definitely help assess your readiness.

Scott,
For Marketing, know the information in IC and you can't go wrong. I passed Marketing last week and scored a 72.
I studied approx. 12-14 hours with a very sketchy study schedule over a few days. I only used IC and practice tests in both the Official CLEP Guide and
4tests.com (make sure you review both right and wrong answers comparing them to the questions). I didn't even finish all the IC sections. (reviewed 1-3 twice; 4-6 once. Didn't make it to section 7). I don't say this to discourage you from hard study on the Marketing exam, as minimal effort reaps minimal results. But, I do encourage you in the fact that this exam is very doable despite the crazy curves life may throw you over the next several days before the 22nd. If money is an issue, I personally wouldn't purchase the REA on this one (I didn't) as IC and a little common sense---combined with the great support on this forum---is more than enough to pass with a good score. You may want to utilize the "search" feature on the main page if you haven't already. It ease my nerves reviewing imput from those who have surmounted the obstacle already. Best wishes!!!

It has been awhile, I forgot. I know I had a passing score though. I need to take a few more rea practice tests.
