It took me two sessions at UMPI to get my BA. The job application I’m filling out is specifically asking for dates attended (date of graduation is in a different row). It says that an incomplete application may be grounds for rejection so I’d hate to leave it blank. Would it be strange to put August 2021-December 2021?

You transferred to UMPI so it makes sense to use those dates. You completed your degree there. You didn't start it there.

If it requires a start and end date, yes those are the dates you want to enter in as you're starting/ending at the institution... if it's just for your resume or CV, entering in the end date is all you need.

It may trigger some questions, especially if you don't list time any other previous schools, but better to be correct and have to explain, than to fudge details and get caught out later.
