The term "Influencer" is used loosely. Having millions of followers doesn't make you an influencer if people are not influenced by you.
Fox News: Girl With Millions of Instagram Followers Can’t Sell 36 T-Shirts: https://www.foxnews.com/lifestyle/instag...ing-report I can have 1000 followers and be more an influencer than someone with a million followers.

I know you're right, but I also know that America is obsessed with celebrities. I'll bet that the people who are promoting this influencer bootcamp make some serious money selling the dream of social media stardom to a bunch of naive people.

These courses/boot camps are valuable for someone that needs to understand how to build a large following.
Sure, you can get all this info for free on the internet, but you waste a lot of time sorting through the information. However, a lousy course could not be worth the money. People probably don't realize that with 10 million Spotify streams, a creator would only receive $40,000. With their Tiktok creator fund, you would get one $20 bill for 1 million views on Tiktok. So it's not only building the content and following. There has to be a monetization strategy as well.
