I was wondering if anybody here put together a degree plan through TESC for the ASBA using only ECE/DSST/CLEP for the area of study. I already have the general education requirements taken care of through my BA. I think this would be a nice add on, but only if I can get it done on the cheap (same graduation as my BA, not paying for TESC courses and testing out of everything). Just wondering. I already did a search but couldn't find anything on specific exams and where they fit for the requirements.
Thanks.

Pages 193 and 194 of the catalog will tell you how DSSTs and CLEPs transcribe.

Here are the Excelsior exams and Straighterline courses.
http://www.excelsior.edu/ecapps/exams/cr...m.jsf?gw=1
Transfer College Credits To Thomas Edison State College (TESC) - StraighterLine
Principles of Financial Accounting: DSST or Straighterline (Accounting I)
Principles of Managerial Accounting: Straighterline (Accounting II)
Legal Environment for Business: CLEP (Intro to Business Law)
Principles of Management: CLEP
Principles of Marketing: CLEP
Intro to Computing: DSST or CLEP Information systems, but it's harder than the DSST.
Business Electives: TESC will probably accept micro and macro economics, human resources, organizational behavior, business law II, Straighterline Managerial Accounting (transcribes as Cost Accounting at TESC), statistics, money and banking, principles of finance, intro to business, business ethics, etc.

Look up any of the BSBA plans floating around here. The ASBA requires virtually the same business core, just a bit less than the BSBA.
I'm working on a BSBA myself so looking at the ASBA requirements my quick stab is this:
- Macro or Micro: Either CLEP
- Precal: ALEKS trig
- Financial Accounting: Accounting CLEP
- Managerial Accounting: I'm planning a TESC class for this one, you may be able to complete it via Straighterline or another source, not sure
- Legal Environment: Business Law DSST
- Management: Principles of Management CLEP
- Marketing: Principles of Marketing CLEP
- Computers: Intro to Computers CLEP ? (not sure, I already have this slot filled up from my CC)
There may be one or two that need to be adjusted, check the PDF for the "ultimate list" of what is and is not accepted. Here it is: http://degreeplanners.com/media/TESC_Equivalencies.pdf

I'd recommend the Introductory Business Law CLEP over the DSST because the DSST is Business Law II.
