Is that clep considered a humanities credit or English credit

I was told my an instructor that this CLEP would be easier than the Humanities CLEP. I don't understand what I'm reading when I'm reading poems, short stories. How do you know what the author is talking about? Anyone have an suggestions?

Thinks these dark days of autumn rain
Are beautiful as days can be;
She loves the bare, the withered tree;
She walks the sodden pasture lane.

I have no clue what this means? How do you learn how to interpret what the author is saying? Thanks for any feedback or advice.

This poem anthropomorphizes the author's feelings of sorrow.

You know how when you are really down or depressed, how you feel a certain comfort in things like rainy days? That's what the poet (Robert Frost) is describing.
