Hi,
I am looking to get a BA in Education. Early childhood/Elementary or Special needs education. Are there any online colleges that are 200 dollars a credit or less that are accredited that anyone can recommend? It would also be great if the school excepted a decent amount of CLEP credits. Thanks for any advice.

WGU is the only online school that is NCATE accredited. My wife is planning on going there (I'm doing my Masters there) for Early Childhood Education. Student teaching and Praxis exams are part of the program (so obviously the ~6 months of student teaching isn't online, but they'll place you in schools in your area) so when you finish you have your teachers license. Cost is around 3k USD/6 month term, there is minimum amounts you have to do each term but you can do more courses during the term for the same flat fee. They accept SL directly as transfer credits, as well as many ACE approved testing (transfer only before you start, not after you're in the program).
