Hello, All...
I have found a BS Ed degree that I would like to enroll in... I can get credits for an NOCTI exam (35 of them... see a previous post).
The college (NAU) will not accept any ACE transcripted courses to fulfill the Liberal Studies classes of the degree... I wanted to use ALEKS and STRAIGHTERLINE for a bunch of them...is there a way I can get these ACE credits transcribed through a "3rd party" school and then transfer them to NAU? Would the credits be transcribed as ACE credits from the 3rd party school?
Thanks in advance...

Doesn't that depend on the school? I was asking the same kind of question about FEMA credits (could I use a TESC credit bank and then transfer to more schools) and the answer I generally got was "sometimes but not usually". I think you could credit bank the courses with TESC or another school but you would want to find out ahead of time if your school would take it and I think they are the only ones who will know.
But the technique you are describing is credit banking and I think both TESC and Excelsior have them.

You can use a partner school for the Straighterline courses. Fort Hayes State University has been the popular choice. Its somewhere around $30 to apply at Fort Hayes, and once you do your Straighterline courses, you have the info sent to FHSU and then pay $5 or something like that for the transcript. And the FHSU transcript gives you actual letter grades for the SL classes instead of just Pass/Fail.
Allow me to introduce myself. My name is Wile E. Coyote, genius. I am not selling anything nor am I working my way through college, so let's get down to basics: you are a rabbit and I am going to eat you for supper. Now don't try to get away, I am more muscular, more cunning, faster and larger than you are, and I am a genius, while you could hardly pass the entrance examinations to kindergarten, so I'll give you the customary two minutes to say your prayers.
