Would anyone be able to chime in on a tutorial on how to plan out my own courses? The wiki states information to get a general list but did not seem to answer the question about class eligibility.

What are you doing in Tokyo? I'm always overseas, at least a few months of the year, I do that for travel/vacation and some work.
Which degree are you looking into and what school/credits have you obtained? You might also want to create a spreadsheet and upload it here.

All of the Big 3 and Competency Based Programs are friendly to international students, it's the "gravy" for their tuition and other fees.
Essentially, for you and other individuals who are overseas, it's harder to find a testing center for CLEP or DSST. So I recommend online options.

For you and the original poster, I recommend reading the Beginners Guide at the top of the forum for extra details for online learning.

Thanks, I've read the guide, have a spreadsheet and am working on finishing my degree before the end of the year, assuming I can get everything done while maintaining my budget.

To the OP, your school should send your transcripts. You shouldn't have to have someone go there in person and request them and if someone were actually able to do this you'd have the right to be quite upset. It's worth shooting an email to your former school to see what they can do simply with a request and your verbal/written approval. As far as what transfers, that's a huge gap in my knowledge but many people on here know a lot more than I do and can help with that aspect of it. Good luck!

I am Canadian living in Canada. I have had no issues so far with anything. Considering so many courses can be done online (more than when I first started back in January 2015) it should be no issue whatsoever to get a degree

I was looking into this a bit further and seems like CLEP will be a no-go for me in Korea as all designated zones are for US Military Personnel only. I would need to travel to Japan in order to take CLEP Examinations, which would be prohibitive both with time and cost in mind.

Still trying to formulate a plan of action...

I am working on formulating. I dislocated my shoulder so it is slow going, sorry to be so tortoise-like.
When I ran your credits through Athabasca, it did not look like you would have enough upper level to make that a feasible degree, so focusing on the Big 3 makes sense.
Some steps you could take right now would be:
1. Apply for the Guardian scholarship at Study.com. Take Personal Finance first and start as soon as you get approved. Then you might as well try English Composition II since you will be able to use that in any degree.
2. While you are waiting for approval, work on ALEKS math, preferably at least through College Algebra.
3. Have your credits evaluated by WES. You have lots of nice usable credits.
4. Also, Davar is offering Intro to Marketing for $20 until March 17.

The nice part about your credits is that you have so many. It's more of a challenge to find which degree program would use the most of them combined with which one would be easiest for you to complete using online options (Davar, Study.com, Straighterline, TECEP exams, Shmoop, etc.).

There are a ton of inexpensive (or even free) online options that don't have anything to do with CLEP/DSST exams. Saylor, Straighterline, Study.com, ALEKS, TEEX, Shmoop, ACTFL, TECEP, Davar Academy, etc.

I used Study.com and Davar as much as possible because they are easy to access from your location, the Study scholarship can be used for many of the credits, and they are cost effective sources of upper level (UL) credits. Send the Study.com transcripts from Study.com itself for NCCRS credits because some of these courses are listed as lower level through ACE and upper level through NCCRS.
