Anyone taken classes through them and know if they transfer to schools? I need a public speaking class and a history class to transfer out of AMU, and will most likely go to a SUNY NY state school.
I've already started the class, and have to pass in order not to pay 750 per class, but i was just wondering if they would transfer to most schools. I know they'll go to my ccaf, but was thinking outside that

I can't speak specifically for the SUNY NY school you're going to, but AMU is RA, so as long as your school accepts incoming transfer credit, you should be good.

I went to a CUNY school not a SUNY... however both CUNY and SUNY did accept AMU credit the last time I looked into it for my cousin. (He ended up going to a CUNY school, so I can't tell you how well the courses aligned with SUNY courses.) You can check to see if the SUNY school you are going to has already elevated AMU credits on this
site. Not every school lists their evaluations but you might get lucky!

Whats the difference between suny and cuny. I know suny are state schools and more affordable then most schools in New York(besides CC).
Do most Suny or cuny schools accept clep and dssts? I plan on taking another one and trying to figure out a commen clep that most schools would take. Thinking intro to bus.?

SUNY= State University of New York
CUNY= City University of New York

CUNY Schools are located within the 5 boroughs of NYC, their tuition generally is lower than SUNY schools. Their system works very much the same way, so if you are familiar with one, then you can pretty much figure the other out. (They both have community colleges, selective schools, non-selective schools, etc. - and courses transfer between CUNY & SUNY)
