I have literally no algebra skills at all. I need to complete either Aleks or Straighter Line as fast as possible. Can anyone help me to figure out which will be fastest? I can not clep or DSST out of it. I know I would not pass. I need to complete in two weeks or faster and I work a full time 50+ hr a week job. Please guys and gals I'll take any advice you can give me.
Thanks!!!!

I don't think your going to find too many people who have done both (why would they), but I took algebra through ALEKS and I did several courses through StraighterLine. I think that is probably the easiest route if you don't all ready know algebra. It's probably the best route even if you do know algebra.
I think the ALEKS site does a decent job of showing you how to do the algebra, but if you're still struggling the Khan Academy site is an excellent resource.

I haven't taken any courses through Straighterline, but I did just finish ALEKS College Algebra. I think someone could be done in a few weeks with ALEKS, if they're struggling a bit. Kind of depends on you, though.

10 years after high school algebra, I was able to pass ALEKS College Algebra on my initial assessment. Mathway is you best friend for this.

Aleks the way to go. As someone who struggled with math in high school, I actually managed to finish 4 aleks courses in 1 month. When I finished I actually miss doing math.
Just go to Aleks.com they offer 48 hours trial. Take an assessment and find out where you're at. You're probably know more than you think you do. And you only need 70% to get the credit, I just keep telling myself to do at least 5 questions each day.
Clep- Human Growth and Development, Intro to Psychology, Intro to Sociology, College Math
Aleks -Inter. Algebra, College Algebra, Trigonometry, Intro to Statistic
Fema - 5.

Go to Khan Academy watch some lessons on basic algebra see how you feel about them. Then go to Aleks take the beginning Algebra assessment see how you do and decide if you think you can learn fast enough with that method. 20+ years after college Algebra I took ALEKS beginning and intermediate Algebra (they were credit worthy and not repeats at that time) it did not take me many hours and it came in handy later. I then went on to take ALEKS Statistics that took me a long time but I don't know if I could have done it any other way. 2 weeks is not a lot of time, but shut off the TV, cell phone and game console, and spend all the time you can working on this and you should get done.

I am working on ALEKS now. If you go with them I would highly recommend having a basic reference book and using the Khan academy to reinforce the topics you are on. Aleks to me seems a little weak on the explanations of some of the topics. But the great thing about it is if you just keep plugging away at it you will complete the course. Sign up on line and go. I don't think any system could be much faster. Good luck.

I did Beginning Algebra and Intermediate Algebra through Aleks, but I took the College Algebra CLEP so that I can meet the math prerequisite at colleges that don't accept Aleks.

Math-100 at what school? It would probably be best to ask your adviser; the 100 designator sounds like a preliminary level math course, I would assume beginning or intermediate algebra would cover Math-100. But it's always best to check with an adviser.
