My suspicion is that they may have been denied approval.  They did just change their platform, and they didn't institute any kind of proctor process.  Still, I don't know that the ACE process is very cost effective.  I think early on, before they landed huge college accounts, it may have been their grind- but now that they have these huge accounts, I just don't know.  As an example, EVERY community college in my state uses ALEKS math.  That's zillions of students.  How many of us here have done $20 and passed an initial assessment?  They can't have been making much money on that segment of their business.

Honestly, I don't know why they would bother.  I've thought that for a long time.  They can't be making much money off of the very few people getting college credit, certainly not enough to justify the expense.
