Hi everybody, I found out last week (via this website that is awesome) that the assessment test for ALEKS is about 30 questions but I was wondering if there is a time limit and do we need to show the work for each problem? I am asking as I am worried about the time aspect. Math always makes me nervous. Thanks!

Don't be nervous at all!! ALEKS is low-pressure.

When you sign up, you'll automatically be issued an assessment for whatever class you signed up for. (I suggest picking one for college credit). The assessment is on your home computer, untimed, and you can log off whenever you want. When you log back in, it will pick up where you left off.

If you score 70% or higher on that initial assessment, you can get college credit immediately, no further work in ALEKS is required. (you'll have to go through the process to get it on your ACE account- ask if you need help)
If you score less than 70%, you can start working "the class" and completing topics until the computer automatically kicks out another assessment, or you can sign into your account and order one for yourself. You can do this anytime, it's free, untimed, and unlimited. Continue assessing (and learning) until you can hit 70% or more, and you've got college credit!

Hope that helps.
