ALEKS -- Assessment and Learning, K-12, Higher Education, Automated Tutor, Math Aleks is artificial intelligence; software that teaches you. It's a GREAT way to learn math and you can obtain college credit while using it. If you're already comfortable with your math, it's easier to CLEP out, but if you would like to learn more, it's very cool. I have heard many people say that they have never understood math, but were able to learn from ALEKS. It's pretty cheap too, so probably cheaper and easier than taking a math class.

I have been online searching this and want to do it but I cannot find out if University of Phoenix accepts the ACE credit that you get for the course.
All info helps!!! I appreciate it

I looked on their website for a few minutes and could not figure it out. You can check with your advisor about ACE credits. One other option is to use ALEKS as a tool to learn or refresh your memory, then go CLEP out of math. That's what I did - I took college algebra through ALEKS, then once I felt like I'd learned enough, I used IC to study for the College Math Clep. It wasn't my best CLEP score, but it was worth 6 credits!!

They seem to have integrated it into their PLA process? ACE credit perhaps may not be a direct transfer with them then. Best to contact the school directly.
