Advice on FEMA Courses
#1
I have completed approximately 20 FEMA tests and I’m ready to get them rolled onto a transcript. I need some advice. What steps do I need to take in order to effectively get them on a transcript? It is necessary for me to go through TESC or should I just send the courses straight to Excelsior? I read through the old threads and can’t seem to figure out the exact process. I see that many of you went through TESC with your FEMA credits, but is this a requirement/ advantageous?

Thanks for your help!

Ken,

If you want the credits to go to Excelsior, you have to go through Frederick Community College or Clackamus Community College now. They changed their policy as of November 1, 2007.

I was very disappointed to get the news of this policy change.

Does that mean that TESC doesn't accept the FEMA credits anymore? My degree is through TESC, rather than Excelsior.

No, it means that Excelsior's policy changed. Excelsior will no longer accept FEMA credits from the TESC credit bank.

Thank you sooo much Cinderly. After speaking with FCC, it's a very simple process to get those credits on a transcript. It may take some time, but it's well worth it.
Thanks again,
Ken
