Advice for a Newbie

I am brand new at this and decided to subscribe to this service after my adviser informed me that I had 16 hours left to earn my BA and that I could CLEP all of them. So, the first I have chosen to study for and taken is Substance Abuse and after one week of studying I have not yet mastered three sections. Of course this is between 50 to 60 hours of work per week. Anyway, can someone tell me; Do I have to learn every section of these study guides to pass the tests? Maybe a stupid question but just asking. Thanks for your time.
