Concordia University transcripts the credits with a subject area prefix and does not consider them PD credit.
Loyola Marymount transcripts them with department credit, but classifies them as PD credit. I think that in both cases, the credits are SCIX or MTHX. https://www.advancementcourses.com/our-partners/

There are at least two math courses on the site that transcript with Concordia as straight-up MAT credits. The real life Algebra problems course and the problem solving in math course both get the MAT prefix.

Not in this case. Click on the "view course numbers" tab here. https://www.advancementcourses.com/cours...e-of-math/ In this case, it is listed as MATX. There seems to be no rhyme or reason to the prefixes at Concordia. Some math pedagogy courses get the MAT prefix. MAT can sometimes refer to Masters in the Art of Teaching, but I see no reason to think that is the case here. I also don't know if the "X" would mean anything to a registrar. It was mentioned in another thread that UC Berkeley transcripts math courses with an "X." https://extension.berkeley.edu/search/pu...d=22828946

They list some courses by their corresponding degrees which is why I was confused.
