Accreditation for Each Field

I am a firm believer that accreditation is vital in the quality of education one receives and I believe it goes past the typical RA and NA stuff. I think the quality of an individual program can be determined just based on the accreditation that it boasts. That said, I wanted to create a list for each individual field and the accreditation bodies for that field so that others can see what they should look for in this area for their particular field. If I miss any, or get any wrong, let me know and I will edit the list.

NOTE: I definitely CANNOT think of all fields and accrediting bodies. Therefore, any, and all, assistance is appreciated.

Accounting and Business - AACSB and ACBSP
Education - NCATE
Engineering - ABET
Social Work - CSWE
Public Health - CEPH
Psychology - APA
Nursing - CCNE
Counseling - CACREP

Note: Some are USDOE and others are CHEA recognized, for international students, it would be best to make sure your school is accredited and recognized properly.

I think NCATE just changed their name. CHEA will have the most comprehensive list, so there's no need to create a list from memory. There are just a couple of important industry-recognized accreditors that aren't recognized by CHEA or the U.S. Department of Education i.e. NASP for school psychology. NASP is recognized by many state governments for school psychology licensing.

Some programmatic accreditors aren't important at all either because a bigger accreditor already exists for the field or because the field simply doesn't care.
