Hello all, I have been taking a few cleps and dsst when i have time but i want to start taking a least 2 or 3 a month and enroll in TESC. I want to know if when you take the TECLEP does that count for your GPA. Also if when you enroll and pay does that allow you to take 14crs or you have to pay for the classes. Can someone lay out a plan for the BA in History for me. This is for all the TESC students or anyone that can answer my question

Hi -
I assume you mean the TECEP exam. They show up as CR (credit if you passed). They do not affect your GPA.
If you pay the comprehensive tuition rate, than you do not pay for any classes, TECEPs or PLA's at TESC. If you pay the enrolled tuition rate, than you pay for these things per credit, in addition to your yearly enrollment fee.
I hope this info helps -
Wendy

Wouldn't classes from just about any college apply if transferred in? You might be able to save money going through a local school rather than TESC.

Anything transferred in to TESC will only apply as "CR" and not toward your GPA.

From what I understand, if you want to take 36 or more credits in one year through TESC, then the comprehensive tuition is the way to go. It covers all course fees, TECEP exams and PLA's.
If you plan on less than 36 credits through TESC, go with the enrolled plan and pay for classes or TECEP exams as you go.
Good luck!
