I started a new thread so that those who seek to get credit for speaking a foreign language can help get ATCFL (American Council on the Teaching of Foreign Languages) to recertify with ACE. Their certification expired 11/30/18, and there was potentially some incorrect information about the status going forward.
Since we all work through LTI (Language Testing International) to take the tests and get them processed via ACE, I think we all thought that LTI would be the one who would know most about ACTFL's status. Apparently, that is not the case.
I contacted ACTFL directly via their "contact" form (selected "other for the reason") and I got a fairly prompt response from a "Senior Manager" who said: "We're in the process of an extension with ACE, and should hopefully have it in the next few weeks."
So that ACTFL knows how important it is for folks like us to obtain college credit through them, it would be great if others also wrote to them. Here is the contact form: https://www.actfl.org/contact-us
