ALEKS & Straighterline Business Statistics

I am doing the ALEKS course in Business Statistics and I am wondering exactly how do I make my grade go up? A 70% is needed to receive credit and I am at 34% with about 50 topics done out of 137. How can I improve my grade? (i.e By looking at explanations less, getting answers correct on the first try?)

I also wanted to know how this course compares with Staighterline. If I finish each and every topic in ALEKS and still do not get a 70% (basically using ALEKS as preparation) - how will I fare in Straighterline? How much harder/easier is it?

You only have to earn >70 on the assessments, not the pie. In other words- those topics are for you, not the grade. Simply go into your master account and schedule an assessment every time you want to attempt one. Earn better than 70 and you've passed. Be sure to submit to ACE before closing your class.

I thought straighterline was a lot easier. That's just me. I hated stats via aleks.

Passing ALEKS stats is tough but it can be done. For every question of each type write the complete answer in notes with every example of each type of question on a page. Save all these pages. Note that each question group has only 1/2 dozen different questions and all they do is change numbers to create more questions. I ended up with 30-40 pages of notes with maybe 6 questions on each page but I made it through.

I think that course brought up an assessment every 9 or 10 hours. The danger of asking for assessments ahead of schedule is that you get tested on a lot of old stuff that is already forgotten.

Nope. Just one score, even if it's the first attempt, 70 or greater = pass. There is no grade, only pass/fail.
