ALEKS Free 2 Month Trial
#1
OK, so I know I've said a lot of stuff against ALEKS, but if someone offered me either a one month study time and about $90 for a CLEP/DSST, or two free months of ALEKS, I'd probably have to choose the latter. With that said, here's the link to your first 2 months of ALEKS, for free. (BTW, the 2 Month free trial's supposed to be exclusively for home schoolers).

Okay, maybe a silly question, but will you still get credit for anything you complete during the trial? The reason I ask is because I don't want to get the free trial and then be told I don't get credit because it was a trial.

Thanks so much for this link. It's going to be so helpful!

Yes, you definitely earn the credit you learn during your free trial.
My first ALEKS test, statistics, was started on a free trial, but I think it took me longer to finish, so I might have had to pay for an extra month.

God bless!

I used Aleks to complete College Algebra and Trigonometry. Someday I'll probably do introductory statisitics/business statistics later on.

I only wish ACE certified more ALEKS Course!

Don't waste time by trying to save time. The only sure way to complete your degree is to knock out credits quickly and efficiently.

Don't let easiness bite you in the rear. Know your endgame (where you want to be) and plan backward from there. Your education is a means to an end.

Be honest professionally, socially and academically. There are people (especially little ones) who look up to you and they're going by your example.

Be proud. Whether you're an Engineer or Fast Food worker, there is honor and dignity in hard work.

Picking on people weaker than you only proves that you are a weak person.

I just signed up for the free 2 month trial and was told that it will take 3-5 business days to get me my code. Is this normal or is it just because I'm using a free trial? I was hoping to start using it today, but oh well! I'm thankful that they are offering the free trial! Smile

Thanks!

Okay, I also just submitted my request for the 2 free months with ALEKS. I was a little hesitant signing up cause I’ve heard a lot of negative things about ALEKS. Though I figured I didn’t have much to loose (other then time) and it would be worth the shot. The only math requirement I need for TESC is PreCalc. It’s my understanding that ALEKS’ Trigonometry will meet TESC’s PreCaclc. Is that correct?

BTW, I was also told that I'd get an answer in 3-5 days. I figure this is so they can make sure that you're a new student. Can't say whether that's customary or not, but that's my guess.

You can take ALEKS Precalc or Trigonometry to fulfill precalc at TESC - they both come in as MAT129.
BA in Natural Sciences/Mathematics, 2013 - TESC - Arnold Fletcher Award
AAS in Applied Computer Studies, 2013 - TESC
116 B&M Credits
32 FEMA Credits
9 ALEKS Credits - Intermediate Algebra, College Algebra, Trigonometry
9 Straighterline Credits - Business Communication, Microeconomics, English Composition II
6 TESC Credits - Global Environmental Change
3 DSST Credits - Environment and Humanity
