ALEKS Assessment Question

Hi -

I do not see this info in the large ALEKS thread on this board. I just started using it the other day for my Stats requirement at TESC.

How often should I request assessments or does this not matter, as it seems to add my progress to my initial assessment?

I do understand that once I get to 70% on my assessment I can have it ACE transcripted and sent off to TESC, correct?

I just completed 70% on Beginning Algebra and I never had to request an assessment. You do not need to request an assessment, the system will automatically provide one to you after so many completed task or if you excess 8 hours without X amount of completed task. This thread has lots of information amount ALEKS:

ALEKS wil automatically give you an assessment after you cover 12-15 topics. You can also request an assessment whenever you want.

Anytime you think you can get 70%, don't wait until the computer gives you one, just go into your master account and initiate one.

Jennifer this is an idiotic question but for the life of me I cannot find out how to login to my master account. I have looked at every single option from the login screen but for whatever reason i don't see it. Any help? hilarious

When I started out using Aleks, I had the same issue. I emailed Aleks and they fixed my account so it had a master account as well as the account I had been using.
