Ok, I have no idea why this is a problem for me!?! I seriously can NEVER figure out how to log into ACE! Every time I save the link, but every time I go back I'm at the home page and spend forever figuring it out. LOL ok, vent over.

I have figured out why I have trouble- it's because you have to go to the "request a transcript" link which I always overlook because I am not actually requesting anything, I just want to add a class that has been completed. lol oh well, it's all fine.
Oh, OT but I went to ACE to add Medical Terms (SL) for my son and found out that you can't add SL courses like you can with ALEKS. The message said you have to go back into SL and have them send it to ACE. I guess I didn't realize this. I know SL charges $40 to set up an ACEaccount, but do you know if they still charge the money if you have an ACE account already? I'm grumbling at the idea of shelling out another $40 every time he completes a class...tell me they don't charge for just sending over verification....

I have a question, you said SL charges to set up an ACE account, but what if you already have an ACE account? That doesn't seem right if you have already paid to set up an ACE account.

SL does not charge to send transcripts to ACE or partner college. I requested transcript sent to both ACE and TESC last week. ACE transfer was completed in one day, TESC not showing receipt yet so i guess it's sent via US mail. Here's the instructions:
"log into your StraighterLine account (not Blackboard) and then select "Request Your Transcript". Please fill out all the applicable information and make sure to list your Social Security Number so we will be able to send your information to ACE. "

I just checked my SL online account....reading through the ACE transfer info (which I think they worded very badly on the initial page) it's the same as when we use aleks. Just set up ACE account (free) prior to sending over SL credits.
You pay the $40 when ordering ACE transcript for the first time.

"Regarding ACE :
Note: If you have an existing ACE account, we will need your Social Security Number associated with that account (we will not store or keep your SSN). If you are not comfortable listing it here please call. If you do not have an ACE account yet, we can create one using your StraighterLine Student ID. Once we send your credits you will be able to finish that account setup and pay the $40 ACE fee."

Glad you also thought it was worded poorly, and I have never paid ACE a penny, so I figured SL was trying to get $40 for "sending" the transcript. Ok, so everything is fine then- no money for anyone until my son needs an ACE transcript, then he will pay ACE the $40 directly.
